The full story below from KTLO:

According to the probable cause affidavit, the Harrison Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing near the campus of North Arkansas College. Upon arrival, officers located a box cutter in the front yard. After it was stored as evidence, officers attempted to speak with the female victim at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center but was unable to due to receiving medical care for her injuries.

Authorities then met with a second victim at the police station where he reported he and 22-year-old Kaitlyn Taylor had been living together at the residence on Campus Street for several months. He stated when he tried to end the relationship, Taylor allegedly became upset and locked herself in the bathroom. He told officers when he called the female victim to pick him up, the verbal altercation escalated, and she struck him in the nose causing it to bleed.

When the male victim was able to get outside, Taylor saw the female victim and physically attacked her with a box cutter. He was able to pull Taylor off of her and observed she was bleeding from the neck. He then drove the female victim to the hospital for treatment. The male victim did not have his injury evaluated, but did state it felt as if his nose was broken.

When the female victim was able to speak, she told officers she could hear the male victim shouting “she will not let me out of the house I’m being kept in here against my will” followed by crashing and banging sounds. She observed the male victim with a very bloody nose when he exited the residence. It was at that time Taylor allegedly lunged at her from the front porch and realized she had been cut during the altercation.

The female victim suffered a severe neck laceration to the right side which was reported to have narrowly missed her jugular. She also had a second minor laceration to the right side of her head between the temple and ear.

Taylor is charged with a Class Y felony count of 1st degree battery and a felony count of domestic battery, along with one misdemeanor count of false imprisonment. She was released from the Boone County Sheriff’s Office on $40,000 bond and was ordered no contact with the victims.
