Residents and visitors in the Lakes Region again step-up to help people keep food on the table.
Ozarks Dynacom’s Holiday Food Harvest presented by the Tri-Lakes Board of Realtors collected food and money last week at several grocery stores throughout Stone and Taney Counties to benefit Christian Action Ministries and Salvation Army Branson.
Janet Bezzerides of the Realtors Board reports the amount of food collected was nearly identical to 2024, around 9200 pounds while cash donations were slightly lower, but still over $18,300.
The food collected will be used to help restock the food pantries after both had an increase in demand due to the recent government shutdown.
