The Silver Dollar City Foundation through their Hope Grant program is helping educators at the Reeds Spring Primary School teach children ways to handle the big feelings they sometimes have.
The foundation recently awarded a $10,000 grant to the Reeds Spring Primary School (RSPS). The grant will allow RSPS to expand its Conscious Discipline program. Conscious Discipline is an evidence-based approach which helps educators manage classroom behavior by teaching children emotional regulation through adult modeling. This program gives educators tools to help guide students through their feelings, said RSPS Principal Adria Simkins.
