Hutchinson, Parson Respond to Injunction Against Vaccine Mandate

Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson and Missouri Governor Mike Parson are happy with an injunction issued Monday against a vaccine mandate.

The preliminary injunction issued Monday is against the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the mandate issued through the Biden administration that would have required most people involved as Medicare and Medicaid providers to be vaccinated against COVID-19. The first dose was to have been administered no later than December 6. 

Hutchinson said in a statement that the mandate would have done damage to an already depleted staff in the healthcare industry while Parson said in a Twitter post it was "Good News" that Missouri Healthcare workers would not be required to have a shot. 

Though both Governors have stated their positions against mandates, they also have stated their support for vaccinations and encourage people to get vaccinated if possible.
