Author K.D. McCrite talked Wednesday about her book "Epilogue" and some of the inspiration behind it.
"The book is a book about books," McCrite said. She discussed her work on KHOZ's "Around The Table," saying she thinks she named it "Epilogue" because of the end of the story. Amazon provides a description of the book.
Part of it reads as follows:
After the death of her elderly, bad-tempered, and bullying aunt, twenty-three-year-old Cassie Trowbridge is thrust into a strange new world for which she is ill-prepared. One of the reasons she said she wrote the book: she once worked at the local library. "I saw things and heard things," she said.
McCrite said it wasn't scary, but then added that "for instance, I heard my name whispered a couple of times." She also shared that books had fallen off the shelves.
McCrite's books are available online. She said she will visit the Boone County Library on Sept. 30 at 5:30 p.m. for a book signing; she will also read a portion of the book. More was discussed on the broadcast.
