A house fire off of Highway 65 east of Highlandville requires multiple agencies to contain.
According to a release from the Highlandville Rural Fire Protection District, a fire broke out in the early morning hours Monday of a house just off of 65 south of the EE Interchange. Officials state that the isolated access to the house, fire and EMS crews had to shuttle equipment and walk on a long driveway to attack the blaze. The report says all occupants were able to get out of the house without injury.
Over a dozen agencies assisted Highlandville Firefighters in battling the blaze including from the Lakes Region, Branson Fire-Rescue, North Stone Northeast Barry County Fire, Southern Stone County Fire, and Western Taney County Fire.
