The Stone County Sheriff's Office report the rescue of a juvenile that had runaway and fallen down a bluff near Silver Dollar City.
According to a post on the department's Facebook Page, the incident happened on Friday evening when the 15-year-old boy ran away from his foster parents' vehicle. Officers deployed a drone to help in the search as well as K9 Officer Iya, who eventually located the boy after he had fallen off the bluff about a 1/4 of a mile from where he ran away.
Southern Stone County Fire and Mercy Ambulance were called to the scene and were able to rescue the boy, who was then transported by ambulance for treatment of his injuries.
