CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Mo. — The widening of Highway 65 is still impacting Christian County drivers after the project started over a year ago.
Representatives with the Missouri Department of Transportation say noticeable changes will happen in the coming weeks.
“Hopefully by mid-May, we’ll have that bridge completed and then we’ll start working on building the auxiliary lanes on either side of that bridge from 14 to F,” says Resident Engineer Brad Gripka.
The construction drivers see currently is the expansion of storm sewer infrastructure, according to Gripka. He also says the protective barrier that has created narrow lanes will move over the next couple of weeks as crews asphalt and pave the widening.
