The Missouri State Highway Patrol works three crashes in the Lakes Region Monday, two which results in serious injuries.

One occurred just after 2:00 in Stone County on Highway 160 when a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Treena Feauto of Reeds Spring rear-ended another vehicle stopped in traffic at Hidden Springs Road north of Reeds Spring. According to additional information provided by the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District, extrication tools were needed to get a patient out of one of the vehicles. The highway was shut down for a time so a Mercy Helicopter could transport a victim to Springfield. Feauto sustained moderate injuries in the crash while a 10-year-old passenger in that vehicle sustained serious injuries. The driver of the other vehicle, 30-year-old Sierra McPherson of Nixa, was not reported as injured.

Another accident resulting in serious injuries also happened on Highway 160, this time in Taney County in Forsyth Monday evening as two pick-up trucks collided. According to the MSHP accident report, a pick-up driven by 42-year-old John Raven of Forsyth had gone off the right side of the road, overcorrected, and crossed the centerline hitting a pick-up driven by 23-yeaar-old Halyn Sterner of West Plains. Raven sustained serious injuries, Sterner minor injuries with both taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

A third crash happened on Highway 76 at 265 in Stone County when a vehicle driven by 60-year-old Jo Adams of Branson hit another when failing to yield at an intersection. The driver of the other vehicle, 21-year-old Kloey Barnett of Galena, sustained minor injuries treated at Cox Medical Center in Branson.
