Neighbors & Friends of Table Rock Lake 23rd Annual Christmas Home Tour Coming Up

The Neighbors & Friends of Table Rock Lake 23rd Annual Christmas Home Tour is coming up.

Alice Wakeem Stewart and Mary Gulley from Neighbors & Friends of Table Rock Lake appeared on KHOZ's "Around The Table" Wednesday to talk about that and more. The two are on the organization's home tour committee. Gulley said the tour is on Dec. 6 and Dec. 7.

On Dec. 6, it will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will start at the same time but end at 3 p.m. on Dec. 7. As usual, the aim is to show a variety of homes. This year is no different.

Gulley said the following are featured this year:

  • A cozy 2,300 square foot home
  • A two story
  • A ranch
  • A new modern home of about 4,300 square feet

Owners volunteer to show their Christmas decorated homes on the tour. Gully explained how Neighbors & Friends of Table Rock Lake started.

She said it launched 23 to 24 years ago. A group of women joined the Welcome Wagon to welcome people to Kimberling City. Those ladies kicked off the home tour as a fundraiser. They raised $7,500.

They decided to part ways with the Welcome Wagon. That's because they wanted some of the funds despite having no part in the tour.

Thus, the Neighbors & Friends of Table Rock Lake formed. Ticket information is online. More was discussed on the broadcast.

The full interview with Wakeem Stewart and Gulley is on the "Around The Table" Facebook Page
