
Just over a day after the first part of the Downtown Streetscape Project on Main Street was complete, part two gets underway.
According to a release from the city, Main Street between Commercial and Sycamore Streets is now closed to traffic so the reworking of the street can take place. That includes repaving the street, installing new infrastructure, and updating the sidewalks.
Like with the first part of the project, businesses along that section of Main Street will be open and detours posted to use the surrounding streets to get around and access the area.
The completion of this portion on the project is expected in October.

Starting Thursday, June 19, E Main Street between Commercial Street and Sycamore St will close as the City begins Phase 2 of the Downtown Streetscape Project.
The Streetscape Project focuses on improving underground infrastructure, enhancing safety, and increasing accessibility for everyone who lives in, works in, or visits Downtown Branson.

👉 Businesses are still open! You can access them using other side streets like Atlantic Street, Pacific Street, West Main Street, Commercial Street and Sycamore Street, which remain open during construction.
