Nixa Announced Changes to Republic Services Trash Collection Schedules

The city of Nixa posted an announcement to their Facebook Page detailing changes to the Republic Services trash pickup schedule; the full post is available below.

NOTICE regarding changes to trash collection schedules by Republic Services in Nixa.

Effective Monday Aug. 21st, 2023, Republic Services has implemented some changes to their routes, impacting many customers. The day or even time of day which your trash is collected may change. Please place your trash and recycling carts at the curb on your new day by 6am and you should receive service by 6pm.

The driver assigned to your route may have changed.

Your recycle service day will be the same as your trash service day, but only once every other week for recycling.

Republic Services says you may email them at 394daychange@republicservices.com with any questions.

Republic Services also says they appreciate your patience over the next few weeks as their drivers and customers navigate these changes.

    The Hollister Schools Foundation has presented a $4,000 check to the Hollister R-V School District, funds raised during last spring’s "Coins for a Cause" fundraiser. The generous donation will be used to help purchase two therapy dogs for the district, set to debut at the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
