Nixa Announces Lane Closures

The city of Nixa announced on Facebook that nighttime lane closures that will start on Monday; the full Facebook post is available below.

MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT:

Missouri Route 14 Nighttime Lane Closures in Nixa and Ozark

Beginning Week of April 24th For Resurfacing

Where: Missouri Route 14 (Mt. Vernon Street/Jackson Road) nighttime lane Closures between Tiffany Boulevard in Nixa and 32nd Street in Ozark

When: 7 p.m. – 6 a.m. beginning the week of April 24 until the end of May

What: Contractor crews resurfacing the road as part of the Missouri Route 14 Widening project in Nixa

Traffic Impacts:

- Missouri Route 14 (Mt. Vernon Street/Jackson Road) lane Closures between Tiffany Boulevard in Nixa and 32nd Street in Ozark

- Drivers will encounter flaggers and pilot cars directing them through the work zones. Drivers should wait for the pilot vehicle before proceeding through the work zones or before entering the work zones from a side road.

- Crews and equipment close to traffic in areas

- Drivers urged to find alternate routes. No signed detours are planned.

  • Hollister Schools Foundation donates $4,000 for Therapy Dog

    The Hollister Schools Foundation has presented a $4,000 check to the Hollister R-V School District, funds raised during last spring’s "Coins for a Cause" fundraiser. The generous donation will be used to help purchase two therapy dogs for the district, set to debut at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. The check was presented to Superintendent Dr. Brian Wilson and Assistant Superintendent of District Operations, Dr. Sean Woods, by foundation board members Katie Adams, Ryan Gdovin, and Denise Olmstead.
