The Missouri State Highway Patrol has filed one report on the traffic incident that involved multiple vehicles late Friday morning.
According to the report filed, four vehicles were involved in a crash started by vehicles slowing down for another crash ahead of their location. The report indicates two vehicles, a SUV driven by 43-year-old woman from Ozark along with a car driven by a 34-year-old woman from Spokane, was slowing for the other crash when the car was hit from behind by a commercial truck driven by a 52-year-old man from Cole Camp, Mo which pushed the car into the path of another commercial truck driven by a 57-year-old man from Alpena. The first commercial truck then struck the SUV causing it to overturn.
The driver of the car was taken to Cox Medical Center in Branson for treatment of minor injuries while the driver and four passengers in the SUV were all taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment of moderate injuries.
The MSHP has yet to post a report on the other crash on Highway 65 on Friday. Both crashes occurred between the 160 and 76/Ozark Mountain High Road Interchanges.
