The Missouri Public Service Commission is hosting the first in a series of hearings for a water company that has submitted rate increases
According to a release from the commission, the Missouri-American Water Company earlier this year filed water and sewer rate cases with the commission seeking to increase current annual water and sewer revenues by approximately 34.4 % totaling around $166.6 million.
The first of those hearings is Monday at Branson City Hall beginning at 6:00. The City of Branson says in a follow-up release that the Monday hearing will be for Missouri-American Water Customers that live in their service area in and around the city, primarily in southwest areas toward the Table Rock Dam.
Other customers around the state will have hearings in their communities over the next three weeks.
