A Lakes Region School District is honored for their building development at a ceremony earlier this month.
The event, coordinated by the Springfield Area Salute to Design and Construction Council, features several honors awarded by member organizations. The Springfield Contractors Association awarded their Developer Team of the Year Award to the Reeds Spring School District.
According to a release on the council's Facebook Page, the school district's development of the Reeds Spring Primary School Renovation, Table Rock Career Center, and Wolf Pack Park was the basis for the honor. President of the SCA Grant Miller said in a video introduction to the award that the stewardship the district showed in using their resources for community development earned them the honor.
School Board President Perry Phillips also appeared on the video to explain the bond issue that led to the three phase project adding how all three facilities serve not only the school district and the surrounding community. Individuals involved in the development and the construction of the facilities were also interviewed for the presentation.
