BRANSON, Mo. — The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) arrested Isaac Cowsar of Rockaway Beach on Friday, Jan. 24 for allegedly leaving the scene of an accident that killed a pedestrian.
Cowsar is charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death. He is being held in Taney County Jail with no bond.
On Friday, Jan. 17, a 64-year-old male pedestrian from Forsyth died after he was struck by an unidentified vehicle on westbound US Highway 160 near Willow Lane at around 8 p.m.
According to court records, surveillance footage reviewed by MSHP revealed that a 1998 Dodge Dakota pickup truck suspected to have hit the pedestrian briefly pulled into the nearby Table Rock Community Bank parking lot before leaving the scene.
