Round One of Severe Weather Done, Second Wave Coming on Wednesday

The Ozarks experienced the first of what is expected to be two major rounds of severe weather overnight. 

While the Lakes Region was spared the heaviest of the storms, several Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were issued as areas saw 60 MPH Wind Gust as well some periods of heavy rain.

There were some brief Tornado Warnings issued for parts of Douglas County in Missouri and also Madison and Newton Counties in Arkansas, but no touch downs have been reported. 

A break in the weather is expected today before the next round of severe weather is expected Wednesday afternoon. Currently, the National Weather Service has the region at an Enhanced Risk for a severe storm outbreak with large hail one of the primary threats.
