While several school districts in the region have cancelled school due to the winter weather, a pair of Lakes Area Districts have other reasons for needing to cancel classes.
The Reeds Spring School District was scheduled to be back from Christmas Break on Tuesday but that got pushed back a day due to technical issues. According to a post on the school’s Facebook page, computer and phone systems were down so students began the semester with an AMI Day. Classes are back in session on campus today.
Meanwhile, illness has hit the Taneyville School District forcing on site classes to be cancelled today according to a post on their Facebook page. The district says they are using an AMI Day for students. School was in session on Tuesday, but students were released early due to weather.
