CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Mo.- On Saturday, the Sertoma club in Christian County hosted the Duck Race Festival — and one person left as the owner of a new chevy Camaro. To win that convertible, all they had to do was be the luckiest duck.
Bradley Jackson is the Chairman of the event and has been for eight years. He said he is excited for it every year.
“It’s an amazing event for our community. Everybody’s down here. Everybody’s having a good time,” Jackson said. “They’re smiling and laughing and hanging out with their friends. That makes me feel good, you know, because it’s all about community to me.”
This weekend’s festival held by the Christian County children’s charities was filled with food, fireworks, activities and hot air balloons.
Thousands of people showed up for the main event Saturday evening — the rubber duck race.
