Several Agencies Work Collision of Two Mixer Trucks in Stone County

An accident involving two mixer trucks near Baxter in Stone County causes one truck to overturn.

According to reports from the Central Crossing Fire Protection District and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crashed occurred just after Noon on Friday on Hendrick School Road where one mixer truck failed to negotiate a curve causing it to overturn then striking another mixer truck coming the other direction. The driver of the mixer truck that overturned, a 46-year-old male from Cassville, was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extracted from the truck. He was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield with serious injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was not reported as injured in the crash. 

Besides Central Crossing and MSHP personnel, Mercy Emergency Medical Services, Mercy Life Line Air Medical Service, Stone County Emergency Services, Stone County Sheriff's Office, and Schraders Towing assisted at the scene.
