An area park that has been flooded several times over the last decade has again reopened to the public.
According to a post on the City of Forsyth, Missouri Parks Facebook Page, the Playground along with the boat launches reopened Friday after the water from Bull Shoals Lake receded after the last round of flooding.
The post goes on to say that there is still more cleaning to be done by the City's Public Works Crew before other areas like the Tennis Courts ready for use again but the enough areas have been cleared to reopen part of the park.
Bull Shoals is a reservoir lake that is use to manage overflow throughout the White River Basin, which has been full several times over the last decade plus due to rainfall plus changing guidelines on flood controls in the Basin.
