Silver Dollar City Season 66 Opens Today

Silver Dollar City is set for its season opener today.

 It’s finally time for a fix of all your favorites as Silver Dollar City opens for its 66th season on March 13. From a final ride on Thunderation to world-famous cinnamon bread and savory skillets, there’s nothing like that first bite back at America’s #1 Theme Park.

This season unfolds with Ozark adventure in every direction, including record-breaking rides and attractions, award-winning festivals and a star-spangled salute to America’s 250th birthday. Spring Break, March 13–29, kicks it all off with The Perondi’s Stunt Dog Experience and the magic of Chris Stanley, offering families the perfect way to shake off winter and step back into the sights, sounds and smells of spring in the Ozarks.

The 2026 season marks the final year of Thunderation. Since 1993, the runaway mine train has thundered through the hills, carrying generations of families through tunnels and treetops. Guests are invited to take one last ride before it retires on January 2.

Answer the call of the park’s beloved family coaster, Fire In The Hole®. Climb aboard the historic Frisco Silver Dollar Line Steam Train. Soar through time on Time Traveler®, splash down on Mystic River Falls® or launch from zero to breathless in 2.8 seconds on PowderKeg®. Younger explorers can roam The Fire District and Grand Exposition, perfect spaces for pint-sized pioneers.

As the Nation prepares to commemorate 250 years of independence, Silver Dollar City will celebrate all season long with patriotic entertainment, specialty foods and limited-time merchandise honoring the craftsmanship, courage and community spirit that shaped both America and the Ozarks.

The festival season rolls on with Spring Exposition, Bluegrass & BBQ, Summer Celebration, Harvest Festival and An Old Time Christmas. Highlights include a dazzling summer drone and fireworks spectacular, 20,000 glowing pumpkins during Harvest Festival and more than 6.5 million Christmas lights. This year’s holiday season debuts the all-new Stars, Lights & Christmas Nights™ parade, bringing even more merry memories to the 8-time winner of USA TODAY’S Best Theme Park Holiday Event.
