As Spring arrives on Friday, the Branson Area is the hub for several major sporting events.

13 Schools are joining College of the Ozarks at the National Christian College Athletic Basketball Tournament that is underway today an will go through Saturday. 

Meanwhile, Missouri High Schools will begin their spring sport seasons on Thursday and two schools are hosting tournaments on the diamond.

Branson will host over a dozen schools in the Steve Lael Lead-Off Festival presented by Cooperstown Bats. Over half of the teams will come from out of the region to take part in games that will be played through Saturday at Pirate Park. College of the Ozarks will also host some games on Friday with other games being played at Springfield Glendale as well as Ozark and Willard. 

Forsyth Schools has moved their annual baseball tournament from May to the first of the season, and will feature eight schools playing at Collier Field. The Panthers will be joined by six area schools and a team from Blair, Nebraska for the tournament Thursday through Saturday. 

In addition, Harrison High School will take part in this weekend's Ozarks Baseball Classic, part of a series of weekend tournaments that feature teams taking part in the event at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison. 

One of the biggest High School Archery Events in the country is taking place in Branson through Saturday, as competition begins in the Missouri National Archery in the Schools Program State Archery Championship. The event, presented by Bass Pro Shops and sponsored in conjunction with the City of Branson and the Chamber along with the Missouri Department of Conservation and the Missouri Conservation Federation, According to a release from the federation, more than 4,300 student archers from across the state are expected to compete in the upcoming State Championship in 2026 in grades 4-12 at the Branson Convention Center.
