SSCFPD Dedicates New Fire Station #2

Ceremonies take place Tuesday for a new fire station for the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District.

The new Station #2 is located on the Business 13 Loop just north of Kimberling City. Fire Protection District Chief Keith Wolven says during a Tuesday interview on KRZK’s Ozarks Now that the location is an improvement over the old Station #2 on Joe Bald Road because of the difficulty of getting in and out of the station.

Wolven says the ultimate goal is to man the station 24/7 and is part of an overall plan to improve services and equipment throughout the district.
