A Stone County man is accused of making threating calls to a witness while in jail for that incident.
According to court documents filed by Stone County Officials, 34-year-old Blake Williams of Lampe is charged with multiple felonies after he was alleged to have made video calls from the Stone County Jail trying to persuade a witness to not testify in a case against him stemming from a 2023 incident.
As part of the complaint, officials list Williams as a persistent offender which could figure into the case at the time of sentencing if convicted.
In a November court appearance, Williams is listed as in the process of obtaining counsel with another court appearance set for January.
