Taney County 100 Club pulls for heroes

It’s time once again to bring out the big guns to support local first responders.

The Taney County 100 Club will host the Third Annual Pull for Heroes on Saturday, June 22 at  OzarksShooters, located at 759 US-65, Walnut Shade, MO 65771. This  sporting clays benefit shoot will be held to raise funds for the club.

Participants may sign up in four-person teams or as individuals. Individual entries can register for $75 and a team can sign up for $300. Registration includes lunch, 50 clays and awards. Ammunition will be on hand for purchase at $10 per box.

A raffle for a Winchester Super X Pump 12 Gauge with custom cerakote by Branson Cerekote will be held. Tickets for the raffle will be available for purchase online or at the event. Contestants may purchase one ticket for $10 or three tickets for $25.

  • Hollister Schools Foundation donates $4,000 for Therapy Dog

    The Hollister Schools Foundation has presented a $4,000 check to the Hollister R-V School District, funds raised during last spring’s "Coins for a Cause" fundraiser. The generous donation will be used to help purchase two therapy dogs for the district, set to debut at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. The check was presented to Superintendent Dr. Brian Wilson and Assistant Superintendent of District Operations, Dr. Sean Woods, by foundation board members Katie Adams, Ryan Gdovin, and Denise Olmstead.
