Taney County Health Department Releases Updated COVID Numbers

The Taney County Health Department has released updated numbers on COVID-19 Cases in the county. 

A release from the department issued Tuesday lists the updated numbers as reported by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services at 5,111 confirmed cases which include 87 confirmed cases for the week of June 13. 

The Health Department reports a fully vaccination rate of 24% with another 3.5% having received one dose of a two-shot vaccination.

The Taney County Health Department (TCHD) is updating the public on Taney County’s COVID
information as reported by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS). TCHD is a
separate entity from DHSS. This information was updated on DHSS’s public website the morning of
June 22, 2021.
To date, Taney County’s numbers are:
 5,111 Confirmed PCR Cases
 710 Positive Antigen Tests
o Positive Antigen cases are considered “probable” cases as per CDC guidelines.
From June 13th to June 19th, Taney County’s numbers are:
 87 Confirmed Cases (PCR)
 48 Probable Cases (Antigen)
 11.0% 7-day positivity rate
o DHSS reports the positivity rate for all PCR tests conducted in the county. Individuals
tested with COVID-19 symptoms and without are included.
 10.1% increase in cases from June 13th to 19th over June 6th to 12th
 41.4% increase in the number of tests conducted from June 13th to 19th over June 6th to 12th
Vaccine information to date:
 24% of Taney County is fully vaccinated (13,571 residents)
 3.5% of Taney County has received only one dose of a two-dose vaccine (1,964 residents)
Available options to slow the spread of COVID-19:
 Get vaccinated
 Wash your hands
 Wear a mask when unable to physically distance from others if you are not fully vaccinated
 Stay home if you are sick

    The Hollister Schools Foundation has presented a $4,000 check to the Hollister R-V School District, funds raised during last spring’s "Coins for a Cause" fundraiser.
