Texas County Woman Injured in Traffic Crash near Merriam Woods

A woman from Texas County sustains serious injuries in a traffic crash near Merriam Woods.

According to the report from the Missouri State Highway  Patrol, the crash occurred during the noon hour Sunday on Highway 160 when a car driven by the 22-year-old woman from Houston traveled off the right side of the road, striking a sign and a culvert causing it to overturn into a rock embankment. 

The woman, not identified in the report, was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for treatment of her injuries.
