JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – New Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe signed seven executive orders on Monday, his first day as the state’s 58th governor.
The executive orders tackle a variety of issues like public safety, emergency preparedness, targeted initiatives, and policy adjustments.
Six of the seven executive orders are part of a plan that Kehoe’s Office named “Safer Missouri,” addressing law enforcement and crime reduction strategies.
Among the executive orders…
- Executive Order 25-02: This executive order establishes “Operation Relentless Pursuit,” a coordinated law enforcement initiative that emphasizes intelligence-led policing and cross-jurisdiction collaboration to tackle crime and also allocated budgetary funds for more staff in task force operations.
