Charges are now filed and the name of the person suspected in a shooting death has been released.
According to the probable cause affidavit submitted by the Taney County Sheriff's Office, Bryce Fausett of Ridgedale is facing charges of Involuntary Manslaughter in the incident that happened last Thursday at Fausett's current residence on Molly Lane near Sundown Lane in Rockaway Beach. The affidavit says that a witness at the scene had called the victim to pick them up, then when the victim arrived, he immediately attacked Fausett.
Fausett then produced a handgun and shot in the direction of the victim who eventually got the handgun away from Fausett and left. The victim, who apparently had been hit by at least one of the shots, drove away but wrecked the vehicle a short distance from the house where he died.
The name of the victim is not listed in the probable cause affidavit.
Fausett is being held without bond in the Taney County Jail.
