UTILITY CLERK: Crane MO Employment

The City of Crane is looking to fill a position in their city offices.

A release from the City says they are looking for someone to fill the Utility Clerk position.

The City of Crane is immediately seeking an awesome person with a great personality, that has strong customer service skills, is very detail orientated, and possess amazing office skills, for the position of Utility Clerk.

The Utility Clerk is responsible data entry of utility meter readings, creating and collecting monthly utility bills; including printing, mailing of statements, interacting with customers to accept and post payments, answer questions, document accounts payable and receivable, and create various reports. The Utility Clerk also performs occasional additional duties for the City’s administrative offices and functions.

Prior Clerk experience; Proficiency with computer software programs; Experience with office software programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel are highly desired. Must possess excellent customer relation skills and be able to communicate well with the public in sometimes difficult situations. This position requires accuracy in accounting and data entry, computer literacy, the ability to multi-task, a self-starter, a professional attitude, valid driver’s license, and be able to work collaboratively in a small office environment.

The pay range for this position is depending on qualifications and experience. The City offers a generous benefits package including paid vacation in the first year, paid holidays, employer paid health, dental, and life insurance.

The successful candidate must pass a criminal background check, drug test and other pre-employment screenings as may be required, prior to employment with the City of Crane.     The Hollister Schools Foundation has presented a $4,000 check to the Hollister R-V School District, funds raised during last spring’s "Coins for a Cause" fundraiser.
