Warm-Up Begins in Lakes Region

After last weekend's winter storm and another surge of cold air this weekend, a warm-up that should complete the melting of snow.

The National Weather Service expects highs today to reach 40 degrees with mostly sunny conditions. The warm-up continues into Monday with temperatures surging into the 50's. Another front will bring a cool down and a slight chance of rain Tuesday with highs only in the 40s before the warm-up resumes on Thursday with temperatures approaching 60 by the end of the week.

While temperatures warm-up, overnight lows tonight will drop back below freezing leading to areas of black ice. Officials are reminding people to be on the look for black ice, especially on sidewalks and parking lots.
