A Lakes Area Fire District is holding Open Houses for the public to meet them and possibly interest some of them to join their ranks.
The series of Open Houses from the Western Taney County Fire Protection District began at Fire Station 2 in Merriam Woods on Monday and will continue today with an Open House at Station Number 6 on T Highway east of Branson with the final event scheduled for Wednesday at Station 5 on the corner of Knox Ave. and BB Highway in Hollister. Both events will take place from 5:30 to 7:30 with German Bratwurst being served by the firefighters, who will also conduct tours of the stations.
Ozarks First Reporter Jacob Blount is working on a feature story about the Open Houses and says during an interview on KRZK's "Ozarks Now" program that his conversations with Fire District Officials echo a lot of businesses and organizations he has visited with in that they need help to be able to serve communities and customers, especially with the Holiday Season just around the corner.
