Western Taney County Fire Talks November 15 Fires

The following is a post from the Facebook Page of the Western Taney County Fire Protection District.

November 15, 2021 we responded to four housefires. The first one started at 5:30 am with a kitchen fire in Merriam Woods. Stations 2, 7, 9, 10 and 1 responded. E23 was the first Engine to arrive and they quickly had the fire under control. Units spend time on overhaul and ventilation of the fire and the building.

The second fire call was to assist Central Taney County FIre District in Kirbyville on a brush and house fire. We were cancelled on this call while responding. The third house fire was in Rockaway Beach on a brush and building fire from a controlled burn. Again stations 2, 7, 9, 10 and 1 responded with additional assistance from the Forsyth Fire Department.

While responding to this fire we received a call for a house fire in the Walnut Shade area. Second alarm units were dispatched to the second fire and station 9 was diverted to the second house fire. Crews going to Rockaway Beach were able to get the fire under control. Engine 92 from station 9 arrived at the house fire in Walnut Shade and had smoke showing from a two story house in a remote area of the county. E92's was able to get the fire extinguished quickly and along with other crews remained on the scene for a little over an hour removing smoke from the building.

The video on their Facebook Page is from the E92 dash cam of them arriving at the scene.
