Wet Weather Gives Way to Dry Period

After a week of much needed rain along with stormy weather, the Lakes Region is set to settle into a dry, quiet period.

Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms have left their mark with many rivers and streams up again after an extended dry period while several areas experienced flooding along with severe thunderstorms that knocked trees down and knocked power out.

The National Weather Service says clouds will give way to sunshine over the next seven days, with no precipitation expected. High temperatures will be in the upper 70s to around 80 today then settling into the 80s over the weekend with lows in the 50s.
