College of the Ozarks Results from NCCAA National Track Meet

The C of O Track Teams National Track Meet appearance is recapped below in this release from the College of the Ozarks Athletic Department:

The College of the Ozarks Bobcats and Lady Cats delivered a series of notable performances at the 2025 NCCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Columbia, SC. Both men's and women's teams showcased their talents as they faced off against top collegiate athletes from across the country.

In this national championship, the men's team achieved 15th place out of 26 teams and the women's team secured 17th place out of 25. The event saw Bobcat athletes putting forth efforts that led to multiple top-10 finishes in both the track and field events. The track performances were highlighted by individuals such as Keena Goze, who placed 3rd in the Women's 10,000 Meters with a time of 38 minutes and 46.31 seconds. Tanner Bailey excelled by finishing 2nd in the Men's 10,000 Meters with a time of 31 minutes and 32.99 seconds. Notable runs also included Melaina Wilson, who placed 9th in both the Women's 200 Meters and 400 Meters events. Kristlyn Smith placed 11th in the Women's 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 17.05 seconds and 9th in the Women's 400 Meter Hurdles with a time of 1:09.97.

The Bobcats also showed up for the field events. Ben Meyer and Elijah Propst excelled in the Men's Javelin, throwing 48.42 meters and 56.12 meters to place 7th and 2nd respectively. Both Evangelia Woods and Jordyn Tarr performed well in Women's Discus, claiming the 8th and 18th place spots. Meanwhile, Tucker Ahlers showcased his skills in the Men's Discus (13th place: 39.04 m) and Javelin (11th place: 45.71 m) events.

Emilie Zylstra (10th place) and Tia Bethards (13th place) both competed in the Women's 3000 Meter Steeplechase. Melaina Wilson recorded a time of 26.88 seconds in the 200 Meter Dash and 1:00.27 in the 400 Meter Run. Morgan Wood placed 2nd in the Women's Heptathlon, putting together strong performances in the 100 Meter Hurdles (16.10s; 2nd place), 200 Meter Dash (25.93; 1st place), and 800 Meter Run (2:32.52; 1st place).

This championship provided a platform for the College of the Ozarks Bobcats to display their talent and dedication, achieving multiple personal bests and helping set a high standard for future competitions.
