In Missouri, High School Football teams were playing in the District Semifinals while Arkansas Schools were wrapping up the regular season.

The lone area team alive in Missouri, the Forsyth Panthers, were looking to play in their second straight District Title game after they lost in the Class 3 Finals at Seneca. This year playing in Class 2, the Panthers knocked off a Springfield Catholic team that had beat them in the regular season 33-29. Both teams moved the ball in the first half as the Irish got a a late first half score to take a 29-26 lead and halftime. Neither team scored in the third quarter with both teams squandering scoring opportunities. The Panthers got the second half's only touchdown in fourth quarter after a long run by Tamarkus Holmes then a KK Conway three-yard-run for the score. The Panthers defense got a couple of stops in the fourth quarter against the Irish offense, including one in the final two minutes of the game, then ran out the clock. The Panthers  

Meanwhile in Arkansas, the Harrison Goblins needed a win or an Alma loss to return to the 5A State Playoffs. While Alma did lose at Farmington, the Goblins took care of business and pulled away for a 28-0 win at Pea Ridge. The Goblins only lead 7-0 at halftime taking advantage of a Pea Ridge turnover to score. The Goblins though took control in the second half starting on the first play of the second half as Eli McNutt scored on a 65-yard-run with Goblins adding two more scores including a Gavin Jones touchdown run to secure the win, and a trip to Valley View in the 5A Playoffs next Friday. 

In other action, the annual Carroll County Super Bowl matching up Berryville and Green Forest went to the visiting Bobcats this year as they take the win over the Tigers 42-15. Berryville ends their season 5-5 with the win while Green Forest falls to 3-7.
