The Harrison Goblins came within a minute of continuing their surprising run in the 5A State Football Playoffs.
However, Little Rock Parkview stuffed a a fourth and short attempt by the Goblins, then drove the link of the field aided by some long passes plus a personal foul penalty on the Goblins that helped extend the drive, and the host Patriots escape with a 21-17 win at War Memorial Stadium Friday night.
The Goblins scored the games first 10 points and held a 17-7 lead in the fourth quarter, only to see the Patriots answer quickly to pull within four then make the fourth down stop against the Goblins setting up the game winning drive.
The Goblins finish the season 6-6 but were winners in three out of their final five games to close the season.
