Four of the five MOARK Schools in High School Football Action Friday with the fifth playing tonight.

Mountain Home Holds Off Harrison
The Goblins, coming off their win over Branson to open the season, ran into a buzz saw in Mountain Home as the Bombers pick up a third straight win in their rivalry series, getting this year's game 28-14. The Bombers started fast and shutout the Goblins in the first half building a 21-0 lead at intermission, then tacked on an early fourth quarter touchdown. The Goblins got on the board with a Gavin Jones to Braden Bryant touchdown run then got another score in the final minute on a Jones connection with Lucas Brumley. The Goblins will play their final non-conference game prior to conference play next Friday as they host Searcy at F. S. Garrison Stadium.

Branson Rolls by Camdenton
Trying to rebound after the opening season loss at Harrison, the Pirate offense did not see the field until the second quarter as the home standing Lakers held the ball the entire first quarter scoring on the last play of the period for an early lead. From that point however, the Pirates scored 42 of the final 48 points of the game to claim win one of the season 42-13. The Pirate Special Teams came up big again, blocking three punts, recovering a fumble on a kickoff, and for the second week in a row, had a kick-off return for a touchdown to start the second half on Blake Webber's 75 yard return. Vicente Pastrana scored the other five touchdowns, all on the ground as his rushing as well as Webber, Ryan Giles, and Smith Quigg controlled the game. After only leading 14-7 at half, the Pirates tallied four scores in the second half to secure the win. Branson will host their home opener at Pirate Stadium next week against Bolivar to open Ozark Mountain Conference play.

Hollister Goes to 2-0
The best record for MOARK Schools this early season goes to the Tigers, as they remain undefeated with a 37-20 win at Sarcoxie. Bryson Whitman has another big night for the Tigers, including a kick-off return score plus a 48 yard scoring run to rush for over 100 yards on the night. The Tigers will open their home schedule next Friday as they open Mid-Lakes Conference play against Taney County rival Forsyth.

The Panthers di not play Friday, they take on Marionville on the road tonight at 7:00 in a game that can be heard on MOARK Sports.

Reeds Spring Struggles at Marshfield
The Wolves have a tough time against former Big 8 Conference foes. After losing to Rogersville last week, the Wolves lose on the road at Marshfield dropping a 28-6 decision to the Blue Jays. Reeds Spring will look for victory one next week as they open Mid-Lakes Conference play at Clever.
