The Branson Boys and Forsyth Girls collected tournament trophies on Tuesday while the Branson Girls and Harrison teams wrap-up Holiday Basketball Tournament Play today.

On Tuesday, the Branson Boys took home third place in the Gold Division of the Annual Greenwood Blue and Gold Basketball Tournament at Missouri State, pulling away from West Plains in the third place game 77-45 in a matchup of Ozark Mountain Conference teams. The Pirates had finished fourth in their previous two tournaments. This time, the Pirates forced several Zizzer turnovers in the second half to pull away. Another Ozark Mountain Conference team, Logan-Rogersville, beat Willard to claim the Blue Division Title while Nixa rallied by Hartville to claim the Gold Division.

Meanwhile, the Forsyth Lady Panther take second place at the Southwest Tournament, dropping the championship game to East Newton 58-38. The Lady Panthers, who had dropped their first five games of the season, knocked off Blue Eye prior to Christmas, then got two wins in the tournament including an upset of top seed Southwest, that led to the second place finish.

The Forsyth Boys team have put themselves in a position for a tournament title, as they will play for the Maverick Division Title at the Bad Boy Mowers Ronnie Brogdon Invitational Tournament at Highland. The Panthers, after wins over Sloan-Hendrix and Bay, will play Flippin in this evening's title game. This marks the second time the Panthers have played in a title game this season, finishing second to Branson in their own tournament earlier this month.

The 36th Annual Lendel Thomas Classic wraps-up today at Harrison High School's Goblin Arena. Both of the home teams are playing for third this year as the Lady Goblins will play Bergman at 2:20 followed by the Goblins and Carthage at 3:40. This following losses in the semi-finals by both teams on Tuesday. Branson's Lady Pirates avenged a 37-point-loss to the Lady Goblins on that court two weeks ago and upended the home team 43-33 while the Vilonia Eagles rolled past the Goblins in the Boys contest 63-49.

The final day schedule will feature both Harrison Games as well as the Branson Girls Game on MOARK Sports. The Harrison Games iwill also air on KHOZ 94.9.
