Hollister's Mendoza Pulls Off Rare Triple Win at Class 3 District Track Meet

A Hollister Track Athlete continues to get attention regional for success in three distance running event.

Junior Sinry Mendoza, who won the Class 3 State Championship in the 3200 Meter Run, also finished second in the other distance events, the 800 and 1600 Meter Runs. Mendoza has been lowering his time in all events and those efforts resulted capturing all three events at the Class 3 District Meet in Lamar on Saturday. Mendoza's efforts led the Tigers to a ninth place finish in the overall standings. 

Mendoza has been featured recently in interviews and stories by Mile Split Missouri and Ozarks Sports Zone discussing his year.

Mendoza will next compete in the Class 3 State Sectional Meet this Saturday at Mountain Grove needing to finish in the top four to move on to the State Track Meet the following weekend in Jefferson City.
