An annual High School Softball Tournament has taken on a new name and a new regional field.
Branson High School's Annual Festival has been renamed the Mary Arnold Classic in honor of the first coach of the program. Arnold led the Lady Pirate program from its beginning in 1998 through the 2015 season.
The tournament itself also has evolved over the last few years as the tournament is played at the Branson Rec Plex as well as at Ballparks of America and features several area teams as well as out of state teams from Oklahoma.
The Lady Pirates will play all of their games at the Branson Rec Plex taking on Elk City, Ok. today at 12:00 and Bartlesville at 3:00. On Saturday, Branson plays Mannford, Ok at 8:30 am, Salpulpa at 10:30 am, and Poplar Bluff at 2:30.
