Missouri Postseason Track Recap

The results of Class 1 through 3 State Track Meet for area athletes plus the Class 5 Sectional involving the Branson Track team are below:

Class 3 State
Hollister's Sinry Mendoza, who had won all three Boys Distance events in the Class 3 District and Sectional Meets finishes the season strong grabbing two first and a second at the State Meet in Jefferson City. Mendoza defended his 2024 State Title in the 3200 Meter run and added a first in the 1600 Race while coming in second in the Boys 800 Meter Run. Mendoza's efforts gave the Tigers a 10th place finish in the Class 3 Team Standings. 

Forsyth's Brynlie Yarnell, the lone qualifier from the first year Panther Track Program, grabbed a top eight finish, taking eighth in the Girls 1600 Meter Run. 

The Reeds Spring teams grabbed three points each in the team competition with a pair of sixth place finishes, for Max Hirschi in the Boys 1600 Meter Run and for Allaina Johnson in the Girls High Jump.

Class 2 State
The School of the Ozarks Boys earned team points in two events with eighth place finishes for Scott Carswell in the Triple Jump and for the Boys 4 x 400 Meter Relay Team. 

The top finisher for the Crane Track Program was Andrew Faucett's eight place finish in the Boys Discus.

Class 1 State
The Blue Eye Boys earned 12 team points in the team competition led by a second place finish in the Boys 4 x 200 Meter Relay. The Bulldogs grabbed a pair of seventh place finishes from Izzlee Brown in the 110 Meter Hurdles and from Isaac Harper in the 300 Meter Hurdles.

Galena's Wyatt Doak grabbed two top four finishes in the Boys Meet taking second in the Triple Jump and fourth in the High Jump.

Ella Howard of School of the Ozarks claimed a fifth place finish in the Girls 3200 Meter Run. 

Class 5 Sectional at Waynesville
Branson will send five athletes to the State Track Meet next weekend in Jefferson City after top four finishes in events in Saturday's Sectional.

The top sectional finishers were Peyton Bough and Alexis Carter who took second place finishes in the Boys Long Jump and Girls 1600 Meter Run respectively. Carter also qualified for state taking third in the 800 Meter Run. Other qualifiers include Ben Kirk with a fourth place finish in the Boys Discus  with Kaedyn Pierce taking fourth in the 300 Meter Hurdles.
