The North Arkansas College Golf Team is excited to announce the receipt of a $2,000 grant to support men’s and women’s golf teams which will create new opportunities for student-athlete participation. 

The grant was awarded by the NJCAA Sport Opportunity Grant and will support program development, equipment, training resources and recruitment efforts. 

“We’re thrilled to bring golf into our athletic program,” said Northark Athletic Director Bobby Howard. “This grant allows us to lay a strong foundation for our teams and offer student-athletes another outlet to grow, compete, and represent our college with pride.”

Northark’s golf season will kick off September and official game dates will be determined later this summer. 

“The NJCAA Foundation is excited to further support the growth of NJCAA member colleges and the sport programs they offer through the NJCAA Sport Opportunity Grant,” said Andrew Givens, NJCAA Foundation Executive Director. “The ability to provide this funding is a testament to the importance and growth of two-year collegiate athletics. The NJCAA Foundation looks forward to this initiative’s impact as NJCAA member colleges continue to create opportunities for student-athletes across the country.”
