Berna Dean Egbert, age 82, passed away on November 10, 2025

Berna Dean “Bunny” Egbert, age 82, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away November 10, 2025. She entered this life on October 31, 1943, the daughter of Ralph and Rose (Bunch) Walters in Pretty Prairie, Kansas. Bunny was joined in marriage to Gayle “Eddy” Edward Egbert on January 28, 1960. 

A wonderful mother, Bunny loved showering her family with love while hosting gatherings and creating memories on holidays. She loved cooking for those she loved; baking delectable treats particularly well known for her cinnamon rolls; reading; and collecting books, bunnies, and baking equipment, especially rolling pins and measuring cups. Bunny was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The memories and moments created throughout her life will be cherished by all who knew her. 

Bunny is survived by two daughters: Cally Ross of Reeds Spring, Missouri, and Melody Draper of Gervais, Oregon; son, John Edward Egbert and wife, Kathy of Chandler, Arizona; six grandchildren: Travis Ross, Cameron Ross, Boston Draper, Aaron Ross, Gabriel Draper, and Zane Ross; and eight great-grandchildren: Hayden, Neal, Luke, Atlas, Natalie, Holland, Leah, and Aura. 

She is preceded in death by her husband of sixty-four years, Eddy Egbert; parents; and sisters: Lois Thayer and Sarah Smith.
There will be a private family gathering held at a later date. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
