David Joseph Hood, age 71, of Merriam Woods, Missouri.

David Joseph Hood, age 71, of Merriam Woods, Missouri, passed away December 13, 2024, at home with family nearby. He entered this life October 5, 1953, in Vienna, Missouri, the son of Robert and Georgia (Crider) Hood. He was joined in marriage December 12, 2020, to Helen “Glenda” Davis.

David worked for 37 years in the health and beauty industry in Jefferson City, Missouri. He loved to hunt deer and build outdoor furniture. David enjoyed working with guns. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

David is preceded in death by his parents; two sons: Christopher Wayne Hood and Jeffery Allen Hood; two great-granddaughters and a great grandson.

He is survived by his wife/partner of 23 years, Helen “Glenda” Hood; son, Matthew (Kathy) Hood of Windsor, Missouri; step-daughter, Helen “Michelle” Bain; sister, Pam (Darrel) Hale of Dixon, Missouri; brother, Michael Hood of Stover, Missouri; sister, JoAnn (Kenny) Bexton of Missouri; brother, Greg (Susan) Hood of Holts Summit, Missouri; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
