Debra Ann Harpe, age 65, of Springfield, Missouri

Debra Ann Harpe, age 65, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away July 9, 2023. She entered this life May 15, 1958, the daughter of Gordon and Della (Nelson) Carson in West Plains, Missouri. 

With a fireball personality, Debra was a fighter for social justice and equality. She was an advocate for NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness) and did all she could to give a heart and a home to many in need. Debra loved listening to music, reading, and dreaming of Ireland. She could “call” at contra dances and danced as well. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. 

Debra is survived by her son, Chad Coleman of Springfield, Missouri; brother, Mike Carson of Illinois; sister, Liz Carson of Arkansas; as well as many extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Dara Chepan.
