Edward Lee Fisher, 82 of Hollister.
Beloved father, brother and grandfather, Edward Fisher, 82 of Hollister, entered into rest on July 5, 2025 at Cox Medical Center in Branson.
Born Edward Lee Fisher on July 23, 1942 in Des Moines, Iowa, he was one of three children born to Everett & Dorothy (Hart) Fisher. After graduating high school, he proudly served in the United States Navy from 1961-1965 as a Third Class Petty Officer. Upon his discharge from the Navy and driven by a calling to protect and serve, Edward joined the Des Moines Fire Department. He demonstrated that true heroism lies not in grand gestures but in the everyday acts of service and compassion during his 31 years of firefighting service.
For the last 16 years of his firefighting career, Edward also worked as a school bus driver for the Des Moines Public Schools. He greeted students every morning with a smile, ensuring their safe arrival at school.
Edward was a proud 1957 Chevy owner and part of the Tri-5 Chevy Club in Des Moines. He moved from Des Moines to Hollister to care for his parents and after their passing, he stayed in Hollister.
Edward took special pride in his role as a husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Fisher and grandbabies, Joshua, Nathen and Genna. He will be deeply missed by his children, Tammie Jones (Robert) of Hollister, MO and Todd Fisher (Terry) of Altoona, IA; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Ernest Fisher and Jean Mefferd both of Arizona.
A celebration of Edward’s life will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 12:00 pm in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
