Freda Belle Ray, age 89, of Aurora, Missouri.

Freda Belle Ray, age 89, of Aurora, Missouri passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Willard Care Center in Willard, Missouri.

She was born December 1, 1935 in Cassville, Missouri, the daughter of Loren and Velma (Starkey) Smith. On March 11, 1955, she was united in marriage to Clinton Ray Padgett, who preceded her in death. On July 31, 1999, she married James Leon Ray, who also preceded her in death.

Surviving are her son, Gene Padgett and his wife Meliah of Kansas City, Kansas; three daughters, Gaylene Hart and her husband Jim of Independence, Missouri, Mary Ostermeier and her husband Don of Vista, California and Bonnie Atchison of Shawnee, Kansas; one step-son, Steven Ray of Aurora, Missouri; two step-daughters, Teresa Andrus and her husband Don of Battlefield, Missouri and Pamela Pace of Springfield, Missouri; two brothers, Dennis Smith and his wife Shirley of North Carolina and Randall Smith of Texas; Two sisters, Maxine Stockton of Cassville, Missouri and Willadean Lane and her husband Kenneth of Springfield, Missouri; ten grandchildren, Christy Gist and Jimmy Hart, Ashley Minichelli and Sarah Boulton, Madison and Devon Ostermeier, Jonathan and Timothy Atchison and John and Jim Scott; four step-grandchildren, Grant and Cole Andrus and Trevor and McKenna Pace; five great grandchildren, Joycelyn and Riley Andrus and Jack, Alexander and Lucas Boulton and a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; three sisters, Glenna Smith, Naomi Ray and Geneva Dutton; one brother, Darrel Smith; two brothers-in-law, Rodney Dutton and Duane Stockton; one son-in-law, Randy Pace and two sisters-in-law, Barbara Smith and Vera Smith.

Freda received her education in Cassville where she graduated from high school. She was a member of Faith Full Gospel Church in Aurora, Missouri. She loved gardening and took every opportunity to play the accordion and sing, make quilts, embroider, and crochet.

Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday June 9, 2025 at Faith Full Gospel Church in Aurora, Missouri under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Rex Mooneyham will conduct the services. Burial will be at Clio Cemetery in Jenkins, Missouri.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time Monday at Faith Full Gospel Church in Aurora.

Contributions may be made to Faith Full Gospel Church in memory of Freda.
